About this site
Solar Panels for Farms is an independent guide to solar panels for farms in Ireland. It does not sell or install solar panels. If you ask for quotes, your details are passed to installers.
Who runs it
The site is run by the team behind Solar Info, the Irish solar installer directory.
The quote form on this site is free to use. Requests go to Solar Info, which passes them to installers that cover your area. Installers may pay Solar Info for those introductions. That does not change the figures on this site.
Where the figures come from
The cost ranges are estimates for Ireland and are the same ones published on Solar Info. A real price depends on the shed roof, the grid connection and the installer, so always get written quotes.
TAMS 3 figures are from the Department of Agriculture scheme. SEAI grant rates are taken from the Non-Domestic Microgen Grant terms, including the enhanced rate for applications from 7 October 2026 to 6 July 2027.
Figures were last reviewed in October 2026.
